Bilma Ruano

Mrs. Bilma Ruano, of Waltham, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Beth Israel Deacon Hospital. She was 67.

Born in El Progreso, Guatemala on January 10, 1950, Bilma was the daughter of the late Aquilino and Zoila (Contreras) Ruano.

She was a homemaker, enjoying every moment spent with her large family. A delightful person to be in the company of, Bilma was known and loved for her friendly personality and for always giving a helpful hand, but most of all for simply being an excellent mother.

Bilma leaves her husband, Anibal Salguero, of Guatemala; her children, Alex Salguero and his wife, Edna, Anibal Salguero and his wife Ana, Marco Salguero, Floricely Salguero, and Deisy Salguero and her husband, Marco A. Ponce, all of Waltham; her siblings, Noe, Emir, Abigail, Jairo, Carlos, Raquel, Mirna, Amavilia and Claudia Ruano, of Guatemala; 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bilma was the sister of the late Mariel and Arcel Ruano.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bilma's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, May 21st from 4 to 5:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 5:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Guatemala.

Señora Bilma Ruano de Waltham falleció el día 16 de mayo, 2017 a los 67 en Beth Israel Deacon Hospital.

Bilma nació el 10 de enero en el año 1950 en El Progreso, Guatemala, la hija de Aquilino y Zoila (Contreras) Ruano (fallecidos).

Ella sirvió como ama de casa. Disfrutó mucho pasando tiempo con su familia. Ella fue una persona divertida, servicial, amable, sencilla y un excelente madre.

Sus apenados incluyen su esposo, Anibal Salguero, de Guatemala; sus hijos, Alex y su esposa, Edna, Anibal y su esposa, Ana, Marco, Floricely, y Deisy Salguero, de Waltham; sus hermanos, Noe, Emir, Abigail, Jairo, Carlos, Raquel, Mirna, Amavilia y Claudia Ruano, de Guatemala , 11 nietos y muchos sobrinos.

Bilma fue la hermana de Mariel y Arcel Ruano (fallecidos).

Se oficiará una visitación el domingo, 21 de mayo a las 4:00 de la tarde seguido con un servicio funeral a las 5:30 en The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. El entierro será en Guatemala.
