Brendan Collins O'Halloran

January 10, 1994 — September 2, 2024

Marlboro

Brendan C. O’Halloran, of Marlborough, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester at the young age of 30.

Born in Waltham on January 10, 1994, Brendan was the beloved son of Brian and Karen (Collins) O’Halloran, of Marlborough. He was raised and educated in Waltham, a graduate of Waltham High School and worked for many years alongside his uncle, Dermot (Jerry), at Nash Construction.

The first thing that would come to mind when you think of Brendan is his kind soul. He was compassionate, empathetic, always saw the best in others and never had a bad word to say about anyone. A genuine, all around, good guy. Brendan was also the jokester of the family and had a great sense of humor, always looking to bring joy to others. And he always looked forward to family get-togethers with all the people he loved most.

Brendan had a passion for sports that began in childhood. Growing up, he spent many summer afternoons playing baseball in the Warrendale Little League, as well as playing football and basketball in high school. He was also a devoted fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. In addition to his love of sports, Brendan was also artistic, including making movies, enlisting his family and friends to play the cast. His creativity extended to his passion for collectibles, which ranged from Legos and baseball cards to sneakers and sports memorabilia.

Brendan enjoyed vacations, particularly to Hilton Head and Cape Cod where he created many happy memories with his family.

In addition to his parents, Brian and Karen, he leaves his brother Rick O’Halloran and sister-in-law Caitlin Crowley-O’Halloran, of Boston; his aunts and uncles, Eileen Mary O'Halloran of Weston (whom he lovingly called 'Nonee'. They had a special relationship throughout his life), Patricia (O'Halloran) Nash and her husband, Dermot Nash (Jerry) of Newton, Richard 'Kevin' O'Halloran and his wife, Deanna of Groton, Kathleen O'Halloran and her companion, Jim Duggan of Hudson, Kathy Bourinot of Waltham, Kenneth Collins and his wife, Paula Collins of Georgetown Texas; and his cousins Patrick O’Halloran, Jennifer Beauregard, Richard Jefts, Staci Figueiredo, Christy Bourinot, Jason Bourinot, Kayla Pendleton, Ryan Collins and especially Christopher Nash with whom he was very close.

Brendan was predeceased by his grandfather, Richard O’Halloran, his ‘Gaga’ Dora Rita O’Halloran, his grandmother, Teresa Pendleton and his grandfather, Douglas Collins, as well as his uncle Kevin Pendleton and his cousin Adam Torrents.

Family and friends will honor and remember Brendan’s life by gathering for a morning wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, September 9th from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. before leaving in procession to the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Waltham, where committal services will be held at 1 p.m.
