Lawrence— Mr. Brian M. Bolio, of Lawrence, formerly of Newton, died Friday, November 18, 2022 in his home. He was 70.
Born in Newton on July 14, 1952, he was one of thirteen children born to the late Robert and Joan (Bennett) Bolio. He graduated from Newton North High School and had worked as a construction supervisor at Brandeis University for more than 20 years until his retirement.
A resident of Lawrence for the last nine years, he had also lived in Virginia and New York. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed taking trips to Florida to visit family. He was known for his willingness to help anyone in need and for his impressive handyman skills.
He was predeceased by his daughter, the late Karen M. Bolio, and his brothers and sister, the late Bruce, Kevin, Barry, and Kelly Bolio.
Brian leaves his children, Christine Volker of Webster, New York, Jaclyn M. Ebert (Michael) of Waltham, and Brian M. Bolio II (Jeannette) of Dracut; his grandchildren, Allison Volker, and Lillian, Molly Ann, and Joshua Ebert; his brothers and sisters, Scott Bolio of Newton, Craig Bolio, Robyn Breton, Kerry Bolio, Julie Rangel, Wendy Freeman, all of St. Petersburg, Florida, Maura Hathaway of Buzzards Bay, and Shaun Bolio of Mashpee; his longtime companion, Donna Fournier; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Brian will be announced at a later date.
