Mr. Brian J. Darcy, of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 68 on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Brian was born in Waltham on June 23, 1954. He was the son of the late John J. 'Jack' and Doris M. (Belliveau) Darcy. A lifelong Waltham resident he graduated from Waltham High School with the class of 1973 and earned his Bachelor's degree from Bentley University in 1977. He married Suzanne J. Roller on September 30, 1978, at the Covenant Congregational Church.
Brian worked in the financial industry in a myriad of roles and companies.
Brian was predeceased by his son, Christopher B. Darcy († July 24, 2013) and his brother, Kevin M. Darcy († June 20, 2020).
He leaves his wife 44 years, Suzanne and his children, Alexandra S. Karey and her husband, Erik of Holliston, Matthew E. Darcy and his wife, Traci of Hopkinton and MacKenzie B. Darcy of Waltham; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Hannah Karey; his sister, Debra M. Pelletier and her husband, Ronald of Waltham; his sister-in-law, Karen A. Darcy of Norfolk; his brother-in-law, Marc Lapenta; nieces & nephews.
In addition to time spent with his family he adored the canines in his world: his dog, Chloe, his daughters' dogs, Tito and Camden, and his son's dog, Diesel. He loved spending time on Cape Cod, watching college sports, successfully completing Sudoku and crossword puzzles, and reading a good book.
Family and friends will honor and remember Brian's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Waltham (Rte. 20), on Friday October 21st from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 7 p.m.
