Bruce R. Kennedy

Mr. Bruce R. Kennedy, formerly of Waltham and Boston, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in RegalCare in Harwich. He was 77.

Bruce was born on June 19, 1945 in Waltham a son of the late William R. and Jeannette E. ‘Jackie’ (Manning) Kennedy. Raised in Waltham, he graduated from Waltham High School and Nichols College.

He was a longtime and familiar face as a bartender at Boston’s Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Bruce enjoyed spending time with his cats, Nikki and Sasha as well as friends having cocktails and a great meal. Always ready with a quick come back, he will be remembered for his sense of humor.

Survivors include his longtime friends, Sean Mullen and Kalson Pang of West Barnstable; his brother, Brian R. Kennedy (Brenda) of Charlotte, North Carolina; nieces, Beth and Tracy Kennedy; He was predeceased by his brother, Barry E. Kennedy.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bruce’s life by gathering on Monday, June 19^th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery, Newton.
