Waltham – Mrs. Camille M. (Sendziak) Valenzano, of Waltham, died peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2017 in Maristhill Nursing Home. She was 98 years old.
Camille was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 7, 1918, a daughter of the late Stanislaus and Helen Margaret (Zaleski) Sendziak. Until her retirement she had worked as an office assistant at Honeywell.
While roller skating in Brooklyn she met a young Nicholas J. Valenzano and the pair would be married on August 10, 1944. After Nick served his country during World War II the pair settled in upstate New York where their daughter Peggy was born. A number of years later a job opportunity facilitated a move to Waltham.
In 1987 retirement afforded them a chance to spend winters in Lake Suzy, Florida and summers back home with their family in Waltham. Camille was artistic by nature and loved to paint. She won numerous awards over the years for her paintings. She loved spending time with her family and loved all family gatherings. She was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed.
The wife of the late Nicholas J. Valenzano, who died in September of 2005 she is survived by her daughter, Margaret 'Peggy' Bozak and her husband, Joseph, of Waltham; her granddaughters, Michelle T. Morse and her husband, Joshua, of Maynard, Amy L. Bozak and her fiancé, Mark Engles, of Waltham and Suzanne M. Tildsley and her husband, Ryan, of Tewksbury; her great grandchildren, Logan Tildsley, Gracie Morse, Lily Morse and Lawson Tildsley and also leaves many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Richard Sendziak and Felicia Livingston.
Family and friends will honor and remember Camille's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday April 20th 2017 at 10 a.m. before her Funeral Service which will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
