Waltham - Mrs. Carmel C. (Richard) Doucette, of Waltham, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Maristhill Nursing Home. She was 85.
Born on November 22, 1927 in Richibucto, New Brunswick, a daughter of Dolor and Rosee (Allain) Richard, Carmel immigrated to the United States in the late 1950's.
She worked for many years at the Raytheon Corporation and later at Data Instruments before retiring.
Her husband, Leo J. Doucette died on July 15, 1992. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Marie Richard, Laura Richard, Leo Paul Richard and Emile Richard.
Carmel leaves her children, Russell F. Doucette and his wife, Joan, of Framingham, Lauretta M. Parisien and her husband, Harvey, of Pendleton, Oregon, Leo P. Doucette and his wife, Shari, of Ashland and Raymond W. Doucette and his wife, Paula, of Framingham; her siblings, Armand Richard, Jacqueline Gallant, Lucille Daigle, Andre Richard, Bernice Dyon, Ronald Richard and Juliette Ballou; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Carmel's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, September 13th from 9 to 10:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
