Waltham Mr. Carmelo C. Chuck Mula of Waltham died Sunday, October 16, 2005 at his home. He was 81. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Vincenzo and Rose (Falzone) Mula, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Mula served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and had been a member of the Sons of Italy in Waltham. Until his retirement he worked as a hearings officer for the Registry of Motor Vehicles in Framingham and in Boston. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf. He leaves his wife, Dorothy T. (Ruggiero) Mula; three daughters, Sandra T. Cunha and her husband, Kenneth of Dracut, Deborah A. Piantedosi and her husband, Peter of Waltham and Cathy M. Harper and her husband, Jim of Holliston; his grandchildren, Kimberly Lessard, Michelle Bennett, Michael Cunha, Matthew and David Piantedosi and Kelsey and C.J. Harper; one brother, Rosario Rusty Mula and his wife, Dottie of Waltham; five sisters, Anne Marcolina of Waltham, Susan Mula of Wayland, Carmela Nellie Renna of Waltham, Josephine Mula and Mary Toohey and her husband, Donald, all of Hudson; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Catherine Kaye McCue and Rosaria Sally Bonica. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, cor. of River and Newton Sts., Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
