Sumter, South Carolina - Carol Anne (Osborn, Cahill) Kramer, formerly of Burlington and Waltham, died peacefully on December 4, 2022. She was 86.
Carol was born in Waltham on July 29, 1936 a daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn (Pudsy) Osborn. The youngest of six children she shared a special bond with all her siblings throughout her life. Carol had a smile that could light up the room and an infectious laugh that eventually had everyone joining in sooner or later. She stayed at home to raise her four children but had also worked for Burlington School System, the Burlington Public Library and Mitre Corporation. Carol’s greatest gift was her kind and caring nature. She truly had a beautiful soul. Whether she was working with the church sodality or preparing meals for the homeless women at Rosie’s Place she always gave with her heart.
She was predeceased by her son, John Cahill and siblings, Richard and Earl Osborn, Shirley Cagle and Natalie Robinson.
Carol leaves her children, James B. Cahill and his wife, Lori of Sumter, South Carolina, Paul Cahill and his partner, Candace Strong of Perkasie, Pennsylvania and Shirley Guidoboni and her husband, Mike of Tyngsboro, Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Jared and Nicholas Guidoboni, Ben and Joe Cahill, Cynthia Crawford, Jessica Eady and Amanda Masso as well as seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Arthur Osborn and his wife, Laura of Venice, Florida; many nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Carol’s life by gathering in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, December 12th where her Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
