Marlborough – Mrs. Carol A. (Keniston) Taranto, of Marlborough, formerly of Waltham, died July 4, 2012 in Marlborough Hospital after a long illness. She was 68.
Carol was born in Waltham on April 1, 1944. She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Taranto, Jr. who died in 1990. She dedicated her life to her husband and children.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Joseph S. Taranto III, and his wife, Janice T., of York, Maine, Joanne McCarthy and her husband, Stephen L., of Marlborough and Tina A. Taranto also of Marlborough; her granddaughter Tammy M. Favreau and her husband, Derek R., of Tewksbury; Rachel E. Bauer, who held a very special place in Carol's heart; her brother and sisters, Edwin J. Keniston and his wife, Vicki, of Waltham, Linda J. Lord and her husband, Wayne, of Hopedale and Karen M. Johnson of Waltham and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Carol's life by gathering on Tuesday, July 10th, in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Prayers of final commendation will follow in the Newton Cemetery Chapel.
