Carolyn M. (Foley) Keilty

June 3, 1920 — January 20, 2016

Mrs. Carolyn M. (Foley) Keilty of Lowell, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, in the Lowell General Hospital, Saint Campus. She was 95. Mrs. Keilty was born in Bangor, Maine, on June 3, 1920, a daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Nolan) Foley.

Carolyn was a graduate of John Bapst High School in Bangor, Maine. She moved to Roxbury after her marriage to Thomas P. Keilty. In 1952, she and Tom moved to Waltham and lived there for many years. Tom died in October of 1998. Carolyn has been a Lowell resident for the past nine years.

Carolyn worked on airplanes during World War Two. In later years, she was a home health aide.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Thomas P. Keilty, Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Natick, Francis E. Keilty and his wife, Patricia, of Lowell and the late John P. Keilty; her grandchildren, Christine Rosadio, Donna Barker and her husband, Richard, Thomas P. Keilty III, Cheryl Walsh, Heather Goulding, Courtney Keilty, Padraic Keilty, and Conor Keilty; her sisters, Dorothy Burkett of Omaha, NB and Tina Campbell of Brewer ME, her sisters-in-law, Theresa Valiquette and her husband, Arthur, and Marguerite Noe; her cousins, Noel, Brendan, Christopher, and Angela Forde of County Mayo, Ireland; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Roselle Foley, Isabelle Case, William Foley, George Foley, Ruth Delany, Frank Foley, John Foley, and Joseph Foley and the sister-in-law of the late Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Keilty, Frank Keilty, Mary Daley, and James Keilty.

Family and friends will honor and remember Carolyn's life by gathering at 9 am on Monday, January 25, 2016 in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, MA 02451.
