Carolyn Salvucci loved life's simple things: music, cooking programs on television and watching her favorite Judge Judy program on a daily basis. She loved the New England Patriots and had a special affection for Matt Light and was able to attend one of his annual Foundation Dinners.
Carolyn J. Salvucci was born in Cambridge on October 19, 1951 a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Jean C. (Sullivan) Salvucci. She was raised in Waltham and later transitioned to residency at The Fernald School for many years. She moved to the Wrentham Developmental Center ten years ago. Carolyn was a much loved resident of both facilities where she developed friendships with residents and staff members.
Her mother, Jean, was a longtime member of the choir at Our Lady's Church and the cantor for many years at weddings and funerals. Jean would always sing Ave Maria to Carolyn and as a result it became her favorite hymn. In her younger years Carolyn's parents sent her on a pilgrimage to Lourdes with the late Cardinal Cushing in which she received wonderful blessings.
