Waltham- Mrs. Carrie I. (Izard) Richardson, of Waltham, died Thursday July 10, 2008 at Newton- Wellesley Hospital. She was 52. Born in Tucson, Arizona, a daughter of Gloria (Swanson) Izard of Vine Grove, KY, and the late Robert Izard. Carrie had been a Waltham resident since 1986. She was an Assistant Director of Public and Media Affairs for Bentley College for four years. Carrie had also worked as a columnist and reporter for fifteen years for The Boston Globe and five years for The Waltham Daily News Tribune. She enjoyed reading, writing, animals and was an avid Red Sox fan. Carrie was the sister of the late David S. Izard. In addition to her mother, Carrie leaves her husband David M. Richardson; two daughters, Alysis A. and Lindsey M. Richardson, both of Waltham; two brothers, Marty K. Izard and his wife, Kelly, of Rineyville, KY, and Robert A. Izard of Vine Grove, Ky; her two favorite pets, Coco and Noel; two nieces and three nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Burial will be private.
