Catherine B. (Walsh) Chaisson

Mrs. Catherine B. (Walsh) Chaisson, of Waltham, died Monday, April 20, 2020 in Courtyard Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility in Medford. She was 93.
Catherine was born September 22, 1926 in Boston a daughter of Canadian immigrants Vincent and Mary (Wallace) Walsh. Raised in Brookline she was a graduate of Saint Mary of the Assumption High School. She was married on May 7, 1949 in Saint Mary's Church to Vincent J. Chaisson who died November 11, 2005. Catherine had been a Waltham resident for almost 40 years having lived previously in Watertown.
Catherine worked at John Hancock Insurance Company. Later she also worked as a bookkeeper for Anderson-Little Company for over 20 years. She then worked as a bank teller at the former Guarantee Bank & Trust on River Street in Waltham.
She and Vincent loved their summer vacations to Bungalow Village in Bristol, New Hampshire. During these visits she was most happy to tag along and go fishing with him. She was a familiar face at the Senior Center where she enjoyed line dancing. She loved being able to periodically yell 'Bingo' when she won. But most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. Many trips to Las Vegas were taken and she also bowled in various leagues at the Wal-Lex Bowling Center.
She leaves her children, Jacqueline M. Andrews, Edward V. Chaisson (Fay), Joanne M. LeBlanc, all of Waltham, Peter V. Chaisson of Litchfield, New Hampshire and Karen A. Scribner (Doug) of Sutton; her grandchildren, Darlene Flynn (Bill), Cindy Metro (Ron), Steve Andrews Jr., E.J. Chaisson (Sarah), Jeff Chaisson (Liz), Danielle LeBlanc (Bob Walsh), Nicole LeBlanc, Kerry Chaisson, Kimberly Brickley (Josh) and Kelly Chaisson; her great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Edward, Derek, Dominic, Riley, Jackson, Dylan and David; her siblings, George Walsh of Ellsworth, Maine and Rosemarie Roycroft of Noonan, Georgia; nieces & nephews.
Catherine's family will gather privately in Joyce Funeral Home followed by burial in Mount Feake Cemetery.
