Waltham – Catherine A. (Cameron) LoChiatto, of Waltham, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at her home. She was 69.
Cathy was born in Westville, Nova Scotia on March 22, 1946, a daughter of the late Archibald B. and Mary J. (Dorie) Cameron. The family settled in Watertown following their move to the States when she was a child. She was a graduate of Watertown High School.
For years she lived in 'the Lake' neighborhood of Newton where she was a well-known and much beloved barkeep at JB's Steakhouse which later became Yerardi's Restaurant. Most recently Cathy had worked for several years at Wellesley Volkswagen, a job that she loved, and the people that she worked with even more.
She leaves her children, Michele L. Pappas and her husband, David, of Harvard and Renee M. Aucoin and her husband, Robert, of Waltham; her grandchildren, Alexa, Kaley and Cameron Pappas and Nicholas Aucoin; her brothers, Lawrence E. Cameron and his wife, Karen, of Shrewsbury, Wayne B. Cameron and his wife, Cheryl, of Boca Raton, Florida, Gerald A. Cameron and his wife, Maureen, John A. Cameron and his wife, Susan, all of Waltham; her nephew, Joseph Cameron of Delray Beach, Florida and many cousins in the States and in Canada.
Cathy was also the sister of the late Deborah Cameron.
Family and friends will honor and remember Cathy's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, December 29th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
