Catherine C. Mahoney

Waltham - Mrs. Catherine C. (Burke) Mahoney of Waltham and Scituate died Tuesday August 10, 2004 in Epoch Senior HealthCare of Weston. She was 94. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Hickman) Burke, she was a lifelong resident of Waltham. Mrs. Mahoney had been a past president of the Waltham Hospital Associates and had also been a Corporator and a member of the Board of Trustees of Waltham Hospital. She also enjoyed spending summers in Scituate for more than sixty years. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Mahoney, mother of the late Thomas B. Mahoney and Robert E. Mahoney and sister of the late Alice B. Delaney, John F. Burke and Harold Burke. She is survived by her loving son, John H. Mahoney and his wife Joan of Waltham, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Julia’s Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
