Mrs. Catherine S. (Ferguson) McDade of Watertown, died Sunday, December 18, 2005, in Saint Patricks Manor, Framingham. She was 83. Born and raised in Newton, Mrs. McDade graduated from Newton High School. She was a Watertown resident for the past sixty years. Mrs. McDade was a medical secretary for United Parcel Service in Watertown until her retirement several years ago. She previously worked at Arkless Switch and at the Hood Rubber Company in Watertown. Mrs. McDade was a member of the Womens Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 14, in Watertown and enjoyed playing bingo. Mrs. McDade was the wife of the late John J. McDade, a daughter of the late John and Frances Ferguson, and a sister of the late Margaret Campbell and John Ferguson. She is survived by her children, Sheila A. McDonald of Burlington, Kathleen T. Cyr of Wakefield, and Michael J. McDade of Reading; her grandchildren, Jim McDonald, Kimberly Reilly, Michael and Patrick Cyr, Rebecca and Daniel McDade; her great-grandson, Ian C. McDonald; her brother, William Ferguson of Newton; and her sister, Helen Apone, of Newton. The Funeral will be held on Thursday, December 22, at 8 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Lukes Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patricks Cemetery, Watertown.
