Auburndale - Miss Catherine Kathleen McMullen, of Auburndale, died Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Saint Patricks Manor in Framingham. She was 88. Born in Leeds, England a daughter of the late Daniel and Christiana (Kennedy) McMullen, Kathleen was a private Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. She was also a cook for several years at Saint Julias Parish in Weston until her retirement in 2002. Kathleen was a member of the Boylston Schul-Verein German American Club in Boston and a twenty-five year member of the Saenger Chor in Boston. She was also a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hiberians in Watertown and during World War II, she drove an ambulance for the British Army. She was the sister of the late James, Daniel, and John McMullen and Margaret Meechan. She leaves two brothers, Terrance and Brian McMullen, and two sisters, Mary Whelan and Ann Doolan, all of Leeds, England, and nine nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Julias Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Bernards Cemetery, Concord.
