Catherine E. O'Reilly

Waltham - Mrs. Catherine E. (Gallagher) O’Reilly, of Waltham, died Saturday, April 28th in her home. She was 83 Born in Boston, the daughter of the late John P. and Mary (Clasby) Gallagher, Catherine was a registered nurse for many years and was a graduate of Boston City Hospital School of Nursing. She was the wife of the late Thomas W. O’Reilly, Sr., mother of the late Thomas W. O’Reilly, Jr., and sister of the late John P. Gallagher She leaves her children, William T. O’Reilly, James M. O’Reilly, and John J. O’Reilly, all of Waltham, Patrick J. O’Reilly of Laconia, New Hampshire, Richard O’Reilly of Gardner, Mary M. Wade of Maine, Ellen M. Kelly of Lee, Joanne DeProfio and Suzanne M. DiBona, both of Newton, Catherine E. Bevington of Billerica, and Margaret E. Gentile of Natick; two sisters, Mary Joyce of Onset and Margaret Gallagher of Waltham; seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 a.m.. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boston Catholic Television, 55 Chapel Street, Newton, MA 02458.
