Falmouth - Mrs. Catherine A. (Sheehy) Spracklin of Falmouth, formerly of Waltham, died Monday, March 25, 2013 in the Royal Falmouth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Falmouth. She was 87. Mrs. Spracklin was born in Boston on November 2, 1925, a daughter of the late Patrick and Nora (O'Sullivan) Sheehy.
Catherine lived for many years in Waltham before moving to the Cape in 1987. She worked as a teller at Fleet Bank for many years and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Catherine was the wife of the late Wallace W. Spracklin, the mother of the late Noreen T. O'Brien, and the sister of the late James Sheehy and Mary Emery.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Michael J. O'Brien of Waltham; her grandsons, Stephen J. O'Brien of Calera AL, Daniel W. O'Brien, and James M. O'Brien, both of Waltham; her great granddaughter, Fiona Noreen O'Brien, her sister, Theresa Collins of New Hampshire, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Catherine's life by gathering for calling hours on Friday, March 29th, from 4-8 pm in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 1st, at 9 am in Saint Anthony's Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway in East Falmouth. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
