Cecilia E. Collins

Watertown - Miss Cecilia E. Collins, of Watertown, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in The Brighton House in Brighton, after an illness. She was 86 years old. Born in Newton, she was a daughter of the late Maurice J. and Sarah (McAllister) Collins. She was a longtime resident of Jamaica Plain and moved to Watertown to live with her sister in 1998. Miss Collins worked as a bookkeeper for Blanchard Liquor’s in West Roxbury for many years. Previously, she had worked at The George W. Moore Company on Beaver Street in Waltham. She was a communicant of Saint Jude Church in Waltham. She is survived by her sister, Margaret R. Malone of Watertown; many nieces and nephews; and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Francis Collins, Mary Grimes and Virginia Dolan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend The Funeral Monday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Memorials in her name to Boston Catholic Television, 55 Chapel Street, Newton, MA 02458 would be appreciated.
