Charles F. Boffo

Mr. Charles F. Boffo, formerly of Brighton and West Roxbury, died Monday November 24, 2003 in the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Brockton. He was 79. Born in Boston, a son of the late Donato and Edith (Cuozzo) Boffo, he lived most of his life in Brighton and later in West Roxbury. Mr. Boffo was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Army. Mr. Boffo was the brother of the late Dominic W. Boffo and Anthony Boffo. He is survived by two sisters, Rose T. Hickey and her husband Charles of Holbrook, and Mary Barone of Cranston, RI; one sister-in-law, Donata Boffo of Oxford, MI and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 1317 Centre Street, Newton at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Brighton. Visiting hours are Friday 3-7 p.m. Donation's in Mr. Boffo's memory may be made to Sacred Heart Building Fund, 1317 Centre Street, Newton, Ma 02459.
