Marlborough – Mr. Charles J. DeRose of Marlborough died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 in Marlborough Hills Nursing Center. He was 88. Born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, Mr. DeRose had lived in Newton and in Waltham before moving to Marlborough. He was employed for many years as a truck driver for H.J. Heinz in Cambridge and after his retirement he worked as a custodian at Bentley College in Waltham. Mr. DeRose was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Church Holy Name Society. Mr. DeRose was the husband of the late Mary A. (Callahan) DeRose, the son of the late Luigi and Maria (Coldocoma) DeRose, and the brother of the late Antoinette Totelo, Jennie Belli, Eunice Perone, and Joseph and Michael DeRose. He is survived by his daughter, Charlene M. Milton and her husband Roy, of Marlborough; his grandchildren, Janice Milton of Marlborough, Donna Mazursky and her husband, David, of Southborough, and Julie Cronin and her husband Neil, of Marlborough; his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ryan, and Sarah Cronin and Evan, Alec, and Jason Mazursky; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Memorial donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445.
