Wilmington, DE Mr. Charles A. Leishman, Jr. of Wilmington, DE died Saturday, September 25, 2004 in Shipley Manor in Delaware. He was 89. Born in Lexington, Mr. Leishman had lived in Rehoboth Beach, DE and Hyattsville, MD before moving to Wilmington, DE. Mr. Leishman retired from the US Postal Service in 1980. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and a 56 year member of Mt. Herman Lodge # 197 AF & AM in Hyattsville, MD. Mr. Leishman was the husband of the late Helen Louise Polly (Swarm) Leishman whom he traveled with by automobile to every state of the union plus many Canadian provinces. He was the son of the late Charles A. and Sarah J. (Buckle) Leishman who were Waltham residents. He is survived by his son, Stephen A. Leishman and his wife, Janet, of Wilmington, DE; his daughter, Margaret L. Hughes and her husband, Lawrence, of Arnold MD; his brother, Russell W. Leishman; his sisters, Jean Lyon, Ruth OBrien, and Barbara Damoiseau; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, in Munroe Cemetery, Mass Avenue in Lexington at 11 am.
