Waltham – Mr. Charles F. Quinby, of Waltham, died Thursday, January 11, 2007 in Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington, after an illness. He was 83. Born in Cambridge, he was a son of the late Frederick W. and Loretta H. (Sheehan) Quinby. He worked as a purchasing agent at Emerson Hospital in Concord for over 15 years, retiring in 1991. During World War II, Mr. Quinby served with the United States Army. He leaves his wife of 39 years, Josephine M. (Stukonis) Quinby; a step-daughter, Jacqueline J. Keene of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Rita F. Anderson, Francis Quinby, Gertrude Lynch and Frederick Quinby. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorials donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham 01701.
