Charles H. Wheeler

Waltham – Mr. Charles H. Wheeler of Waltham died Monday, July 18, 2005 in Caritas Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Brighton. He was 72. Born in Leicester, Mr. Wheeler lived in Watertown before moving to Waltham forty-three years ago. He was employed as a mechanical engineer. Mr. Wheeler was a graduate of Tufts University, Class of 1955 where he was an avid golfer and belonged to the Golf Team. Mr. Wheeler served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Wheeler was the son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Rogers) Wheeler. He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-seven years, Christine A. (Phillips) Wheeler; his devoted son, Michael C. Wheeler and his wife Mary Elizabeth, of Winchester; his grandchildren, Ryan M. and Kara A. Wheeler; his brother, Robert Wheeler of South Dartmouth; his sister, Barbara Kilroy of North Grafton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
