Waltham – Mr. Chester L. Fay, of Waltham, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was 73.
Chester was born in Boston on December 8, 1942, the son of the late Leroy and Evelyn Fay. He was a devout Catholic and had been very active in his home parish of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Waltham where he was a member of the choir for a number of years. He loved photography and enjoyed documenting his travels with his camera always in hand. He was a kind and giving man, quietly philanthropic by nature.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Carol Devine and John Fay and is survived by his nephews and nieces, Corey Fay, Lisa Rivera, Stacey Denekamp, Ronald Devine and Dennis Devine.
Family and friends will honor and remember Chester's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20),Waltham on Saturday, December 17th at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Boston.
