Waltham Mr. Chester J. Gacioch of Waltham died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 in the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 82. Born in Lawrence, Mr. Gacioch had lived in Waltham for over sixty-five years. He was employed as a machinist for the W.H. Nichols Company in Waltham until his retirement. Mr. Gacioch was a member of the Waltham Moose and the Waltham V.F.W. Mr. Gacioch was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Gacioch was the husband of the late Lillian M. (Keller) Gacioch; the stepfather of the late Robert G. Kennedy; the son of the late Stanley and Waleria (Zawojk) Gacioch; and the brother of the late Walter Gacioch, Stella Darby, Alexander Gacioch, and Stanley Gacioch. He is survived by his stepson, Richard V. Kennedy of Pocasset; his sisters, Helen Buczel of Watertown and Edna Gacioch of Waltham; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Saturday at 8 am from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 9 am. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours Friday 5-8 pm.
