Mrs. Christine M. (Rogers) Saulnier, of Waltham, died Friday, October 23, 2015 in Beth Israel Hospital in Boston after a short illness. She was 53.
Christine was born on April 13, 1962 in Waltham a daughter of the late Harold 'Sonny' and Phyllis M. (Lahey) Rogers. A lifelong Waltham resident she graduated from Waltham High School with the class of 1980 and earned an associate's degree from Bryman Institute in Brookline. She married Alyre P. 'Al' Saulnier on March 3, 1984 in Saint Charles Borromeo Church.
She worked for many years in the medical field beginning as a phlebotomist at the former Deaconess Glover Hospital, now Beth Israel Deaconess in Needham and for the last many years as a medical assistant in the offices of Dr. Harry Bauer in Needham.
An avid Red Sox fan Christine also was an avid reader and enjoyed time in the sun on beaches in Pompano Beach, Florida and in earlier years in York, Maine.
In addition to her husband of 31 years, Al Saulnier she leaves her children, Jason A. Saulnier and Jared M. Saulnier, all of Waltham and Michelle E. Saulnier of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her grandchild, Riley E. Saulnier; her brothers, Harold E. 'Bud' Rogers III and his wife, Alesia of Dracut and Shawn M. Rogers of Waltham; also survived by nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Christine's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, October 30th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning where her Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
