Claire A. (Carey) Taylor

We are sad to announce the death of our beloved sister and aunt, Claire Taylor age 76, of West Palm Beach, Florida. Claire passed away suddenly on August 26th, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer.

Claire was predeceased by her mother Mary Carey, her father Lewis Carey, her sister MaryLou and brother-in-law George McCormack, her nephew Michael McCormack, and her niece Lisa Cosco. She is survived by her sisters Joan Cosco of Atlanta, Georgia, Patricia Veronelli (John) of Melrose, and brother Stephen Carey, and her beloved 12 remaining nieces and nephews, many special friends, and her precious cat Gizzy.

Before retiring to Florida, Claire worked for many years as an Accounts Payable Supervisor for Doble Engineering in Watertown and at Sunrise Assisted Living. She loved working with the elderly and dancing and laughing with them.

Claire had an infectious spirit and she thoroughly enjoyed her time with her friends at Bingo Magic of Lake Worth. She also enjoyed cruising with her family and friends.

Family and friends will honor and remember Claire's life by gathering for calling hours at the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Friday, September 8th from 5-8 p.m.

A service was also held in Florida.
