Claude F. Valle

Weston – Mr. Claude F. Valle, Jr. of Weston died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 in Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston. He was 79. Born in Boston, Mr. Valle had lived in Weston for many years. He was employed by the Polaroid Corporation as the Senior Department Manager of the Environmental Health and Safety Engineers until his retirement in 1988. Mr. Valle was a graduate of Boston English High School and Northeastern University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1952 and his Master’s Degree in 1958. Mr. Valle was a former Boy Scout Cubmaster of Pack 153 and a member of the Waltham Hospital Corporation. Mr. Valle was a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Polaroid Credit Union. He was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #331 in the Back Bay and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Waltham Boys and Girls Club. Mr. Valle was the former president of the Lawrence School PTA and a founding member of the Weston High School Swim Club. Mr. Valle was the father of the late J. Peter Valle, the son of the late Claude F. and Elsie (Kavanah) Valle and the brother of the late Rev. Raymond F. Valle. He is survived by his wife, Marie J. (McKeown) Valle; his children, Mary E. Valle and her husband, Thomas J. Raubach, of Needham, Claude F. Valle III and his wife, Jean, of Weston, and Thomas F. Valle and his wife, Margaret Hoag, of Concord; his brother, J. Chester Valle of Missouri; ten grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 30, at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Road, Wellesley Hills, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Donations in Mr. Valle’s memory to the Weston High School Swim Fund, 444 Wellesley Street, Weston, MA 02493 would be appreciated.
