Waltham – Mr. Cleophas 'Cliff' Martin, of Waltham died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 87.

Cliff was born in Shediac, New Brunswick on August 25, 1925, a son of the late Fabian and Josseline (Belliveau) Martin, and had lived in Waltham for the past fifty-six years. During World War II he served with the Canadian Merchant Marine.

Until his retirement Cliff worked as a plasterer at Babson College in Wellesley. He was also a longtime member of the French-American Victory Club in Waltham.

The husband of the late Yvonne (Richard) Martin, he leaves his children, Theresa 'Terry' Magliano and her husband, Ed, of Nashua, New Hampshire and Thelma 'Tina' Arsenault and her husband, Joseph of Billerica; his grandchildren, Christopher Bernardi and his wife, Sarah, James Bernardi and Paul Rollo and his wife, Lauren, and his grandchildren, Ella, Will, Tyler and Brookelyn. He is also survived by Mike Bernardi and his wife, Ellen, and Paul Bernardi, all of Waltham.

Funeral services will be private.
