Waltham – Mrs. Constance V. Bergeron, of Waltham, died in her home on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She was 94.
Connie was born in Newton on July 13, 1919, a daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Fiorita) Newton. She was a lifelong Waltham resident and married Paul J. Bergeron in 1942. She was a wonderful and caring wife and mother, always putting others first. She enjoyed vacationing with the family to both West Yarmouth and Fairhaven. As a devout Catholic she was very involved at St. Mary's Church and later Our Lady's Church, both in Waltham. She loved being with her grandchildren and was always happy to babysit at any time.
She was the wife of the late Paul J. Bergeron and survived by her children, Charles J. Bergeron and his wife, Andrea, of Needham, Arthur P. Bergeron and his wife, Paulette, of Milford, Janet E. Rensky and her husband, Richard, of Burlington and Karen A. Woodworth and her husband, Tobey, of Marshfield; her grandchildren, Julia Bergeron, Lauren Overzet and her husband, Peter, Edward Bergeron, Christine Bergeron, Adam Bergeron and his wife, Nicole, Melissa Rensky, and Valerie Rensky; her great grandchildren, Ryan and Madison and also leaves many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Paula Bergeron and sister of the late Sr. Ellen J. Newton, Sisters of Charity.
Family and friends will honor and remember Connie's life by gathering for calling hours on Friday, February 14th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
