Cynthia A. (Gracia) Beaumont

Cynthia A. (Gracia) Beaumont, of Waltham, died at home after a long struggle with Benson syndrome, a rare form of Alzheimer's disease.

Cynthia was born on November 20, 1953 in Waltham a daughter of the late Elman J. and Frances (Romano) Gracia. Raised and educated in Waltham she graduated from Waltham High School in 1971. She was married to the late William F. 'Fred' Beaumont for 26 years until his death on March 28, 2015.

Cynthia worked for many years as an accounts payable specialist for Sof-Tech Company in Waltham. Previously, she worked for Arthur D. Little in Cambridge.

In earlier and healthier years she loved accompanying Fred to his various fast pitch softball tournaments which took them to many destinations throughout the country. She loved being Nana to her cherished five grandchildren.

Cynthia leaves her daughters, Jamie M. Dowcett Babineau and Andrea J. Dowcett, both of Waltham; her grandchildren, Evan Bourinot, Brady and Brooke Babineau, Michael and Grayson Shread; her brother, Frank Gracia (Janet) of Westford; nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Cynthia's life by gathering at for visiting hour at 10 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, January 28th followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery.
