Mrs. Cynthia R. “Cyndy” (Botsch) Magoon, of Waltham, died Friday, October 13th in Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. She was 69.
Cyndy was born in Milton on November 15, 1953, a daughter of the late Robert H. and Alice E. (McClurg) Botsch. A graduate of Stoughton High School, she continued her studies at Bentley University where she earned her accounting degree. She enjoyed a successful career as a certified public accountant working until recently at many area companies.
She was an avid reader, fan of science fiction, and loved putting together puzzles. She also enjoyed sewing, yoga, meditation and most of all adored spending time with her family. She and her late husband Thomas P. Magoon had been longtime Waltham residents. Tom died on May 27, 2011.
She leaves her siblings, Donna B. Davey (Timothy) of Norfolk, Robert H. Botsch, Jr. (Cheryl) of Southbridge, and Sharyn B. Stedman (John) of Norton, and her nieces Kara and Amanda, nephews Greg, Bobby, and Thomas, and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Cyndy’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Tuesday October 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning when her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
