Brockton – Mr. D. H. Brian Campbell, of Brockton, died Sunday, March 13, 2022 in his home. He was 74 years old.
Brian was born in Framingham on February 29, 1948 to the late J. W. Don and Corean (MacPhee) Campbell. He earned his engineering degree from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick and at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. He lived and worked in Montreal for more than thirty-five years before moving to Brockton in 1985.
He enjoyed a successful career at FM Global as a senior engineer advising their insurance loss department. He was also a proud former member of the Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia and Professional Engineers of Quebec Associations.
Brian and his family loved taking yearly vacations to his parent's native Prince Edward Island. He was a history buff and indulged his passion for golf with frequent trips to the links.
He leaves his beloved wife of 45 years, Alice M. (Loughry) Campbell; his children, Erin A. Borges (Kevin) of Somerset and James B. Campbell (Christina) of Hingham; his grandchildren, Benjamin Borges, and Andrew and Julia Campbell; his twin brother, J. W. Barry Campbell (Linda) of Prince Edward Island and his nephew, Jonathan Campbell.
Family and friends will honor and remember Brian's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20,) Waltham, on Thursday, March 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again Friday morning at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
