Waltham – Mr. Daniel C. Colatosti, of Waltham, died in his home on Sunday, July 6, 2014 surrounded by family. He was 77.
Dan was born in Cambridge on October 1, 1936, a son of the late Thomas and Carmella (Marrone) Colatosti. For thirty years he had worked at Reliance Printing in Allston where he was the General Manager.
Dan loved to spend time with his family and was so proud of his three daughters. He was a Grand Life Master Bridge player, the highest rank awarded by the Bridge Association. Dan enjoyed traveling throughout the country with friends to compete in tournaments.
He was the husband of the late Niki (Sfanos) Colatosti and the father of the late Cheryl Ann Garvey.
Dan is survived by his daughters, Michelle Brody of Stoneham, Dr. Camille Colatosti of Boston and Lauren Conway and her husband, James, of Warwick, Rhode Island; his siblings, Thomas Colatosti and his wife, Nancy, of Lexington, Beverly Blumenthal of Florida and Elena Richenburg of Milton; his grandchildren, Jacob Garvin, Nicole Brody and Danielle Prince and her husband Jason; his great granddaughter Hope Garvin; and by his nephews, Thomas Colatosti and his wife, Amber, and Timothy Colatosti.
Family and friends will honor and remember Dan's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Route 20), Waltham on Thursday, July 10th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning when his Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
