Daniel G. Coletti

Mr. Daniel G. Coletti, of Waltham, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital after an illness. He was 75. 

Daniel was born October 8, 1949 in Newton a son of the late Daniel and Annette (Soricelli) Coletti. Raised in Watertown he graduated from Watertown High School with the class of 1967. He married Arleen M. Deveau on September 21, 1979 in Saint Patrick’s Church and they moved to Waltham in 1981. 

Dan worked at MacLeod and Moynihan Lumber in Watertown for many years and later in sales at Barker Lumber Co. in Woburn.

He was a lifelong sports enthusiast and loved coaching his children’s soccer teams and watching their little league games. Dan welcomed a round of golf at any time with family or friends as well. 

In addition to his wife of 45 years, Arleen, he leaves his children, Jena M. Rossi (Nicholas) and Alicia A. Clark (Nicholas), all of Waltham; his grandchildren, Luke and Emilia Rossi and Addison Clark; his siblings, Ruth Blakeney (John) of Newton, Edward Coletti (Sorana Luchian) of Lexington and Anne Murphy (William) of Harwichport; brother-in-law of Edward Deveau (Janet D'Orsi) of Boston, Karen D'Angelo (Robert) of Florida, Brian Deveau of Wisconsin and David Deveau of Watertown; also survived by nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Daniel's life by gathering for an Evening Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, February 20th from 4 to 7 p.m. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington Street, Newton at 10:30 a.m. Please go directly to church. Burial is private.
