Waltham - Mr. Daniel C. LeBlanc, of Waltham, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 72.
Dan was born June 28, 1945 in Waltham, a son of the late Edward L. and Irene M. (Demers) LeBlanc. He was a graduate of Saint Charles High School in Waltham with the class of 1963. On November 7, 1971 Dan married C. Louise Landry in Saint Joseph's Church. Lifelong Waltham residents, they also shared time during the winter months in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Dan's twenty-two year career in banking began at Newton-Waltham Bank which later became BayBank. After retiring from the bank Dan began a second career at Colonial Real Estate in Waltham where he worked for another twenty-two years before retiring in 2007.
He was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Joseph's Church in Waltham and after its closing joined Sacred Heart Parish. Dan was also a member of the French-American Victory Club, the Waltham Jaycees and was past director of G.W.A.R.C.
In addition to his wife of forty-six years, Louise, he is survived by his brothers, Rev. Harold E. 'Skip' LeBlanc of Hyannis and James A. LeBlanc and his partner, Robert Wolfing, of Osterville and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Dan's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, November 27th from 9 to 10:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial is private.
