Waltham – Mr. Daniel J. Ralph, of Waltham, died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Newton Health Care Center. He was 64.

Dan was born in Boston on August 28, 1950, a son of the late Patrick and Anne (Shea) Ralph and had lived in Waltham since 1986. He worked for over thirty years as a distribution manager for The Boston Globe. After that, he was employed by the Town of Wellesley in the Department of Public Works. Dan was a longtime member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Waltham-Watertown Lodge No. 953 where he was currently the treasurer.

He was the husband of the late Lynne A. (Godfrey) Ralph who died in May of 2011.

Dan is survived by his son, Ryan M. Godfrey-Ralph of Waltham; his brother, Patrick Ralph of Florida, and his father and mother-in-law, Mervyn and Norma Godfrey of Waltham.

Family and friends will honor and remember Daniel's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, March 19th, from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning when his funeral service will be held at 11 am. Burial will be private.
