Framingham – Mr. Daniel P. Wenckus, of Framingham, formerly of Waltham and Natick, died Monday, October 16, 2017. He was 49.
Dan was born in Waltham on December 27, 1967, a son of the late John J. 'Wink' and Joan E. (Besso) Wenckus, and was a graduate of Waltham Vocational High School. He lived in Waltham and in Natick before moving to Framingham three years ago.
He worked as a mechanic for the Town of Wayland and before that owned his own gas station for many years in Wayland. An avid boater, he had been a longtime member of the Newton Yacht Club.
He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen M. (Wilson) Wenckus and is survived by his siblings, Carol A. Murphy and her husband, Richard, of Waltham, Lynne M. Patten and her husband, Richard, of Mattapoisett and Lisa J. Maloney and her husband, Terrence, of Framingham; his companion, LeeAnne Carley and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late John J. Wenckus and Brian P. Wenckus.
Family and friends will honor and remember Dan's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, October 22nd from 2 to 4 p.m. and will conclude with a service in the funeral home at 4 p.m. Burial will be private.
