Darren M. Sheppard

Darren M. Sheppard, of Waltham, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 20.

Darren was born in Waltham on December 27, 1997, the son of Karine F. (Utley) Sheppard and the late Donald G. Sheppard. He was a lifelong Waltham resident and had most recently been working at Skipton Kennel and Pet Center in Waltham.

Growing up Darren was a selfless and kind-hearted soul with the most positive energy. He enjoyed fishing, karaoke and loved animals of all kinds. His sense of humor and laughter was infectious and he will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Besides his mother, Karine, he is survived by his brother and best friend, D.J. Sheppard, of Waltham; his grandparents, Timothy and Joan Utley, Paul Sheppard and the late Corrine Sheppard. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Family and friends will honor and remember Darren's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, January 28th from 3 to 6 p.m. His funeral service will be held on Monday morning at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
