Manchester, NH – Mr. David J. Barry, of Manchester, formerly of Waltham, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. He was 62.
David was born in Cambridge on December 1, 1956, a son of the late George W. and Elizabeth P. (Hingey) Barry. He was raised in Waltham and a member of the Waltham High Class of 1975.
He worked for thirty years as a stone mason for JD Scott Construction in Woburn before taking a job as a machine operator for Foodstate, Inc. in Londonderry, New Hampshire. He had lived in Waltham and in Londonderry before moving to Manchester four years ago.
Dave was a homebody who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially for the Patriots.
He leaves his wife, Lisa (Taylor) Torres; his children, Melissa Barry (Alexi Quinones) of Waltham, David J. Barry (Bethany) of Franklin, Kenneth P. Barry (Liana) of Maynard, Elizabeth Barry, George Barry, Candace Torres and Martika Torres, all of Manchester; his brothers and sisters, George Barry, Jr., Joseph Barry (Patricia), all of Waltham, Cheryl Shanahan (Thomas) of Weymouth, Mary Hancock of Newton, Kenneth Barry (Deborah) of Waltham, Lynan Schueler (Daniel) of Merrimack, NH and Marc Barry (Darlene Taylor) of Manchester, NH; nine grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Dave was also a brother of the late Patrick Barry.
Family and friends will honor and remember Dave's life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23rd in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
