David G. Hart

March 5, 1946 — October 2, 2018

Mr. David G. Hart, of Waltham, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at CareOne in Lexington after a battle with cancer. He was 72.

David was born on March 5, 1946 in Newton a son of the late LeRoy F. and Irene M. (Kilburn) Hart. Raised and educated in Waltham he was a graduate of Waltham High School with the class of 1965. He then graduated from Robert Richard Hair School on Moody Street.

David owned and operated his own salon, 'David's of Waltham' for close to 30 years. For the last 15 years he was in sales at The Barn in West Newton where he was a much loved and respected salesperson and co-worker.

He leaves his sister, Lorraine M. Hart of Waltham; his cousins, Barbara Chermesino of Dedham and Robert and Mary English of Newton and their families. He is also survived by many wonderful friends whom he loved to spend time with along with his cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember David's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, October 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. with a period of prayer and memory sharing beginning at 7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 10th in Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham at 11 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 or Buddy Dog Humane Society, 151 Boston Post Rd, Sudbury, MA 01776.
