David J. Wheaton

Rockport – Mr. David J. Wheaton, of Rockport, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at his home. He was 50. Born and raised in Waltham, David had lived in Gloucester and in Rockport for the past 15 years. He graduated from Waltham High School in 1975 and from Boston University School of Nursing. He was a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He loved living near the ocean and in his spare time enjoyed fishing and snorkeling. The son of the late Paul J. and Mary E. (Mullins) Wheaton, he leaves his brothers, Mark J. Wheaton and his wife, Diane, of Plymouth, Stephen J. Wheaton and his wife, Martha, and Thomas J. Wheaton and his wife, Maria, all of Waltham and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
