Newton – Mrs. Deborah M.L. (Lee) Wong, of Newton, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 in her home. She was 69.
Deborah was born in Toi Shan, China, on July 27, 1940, a daughter of Fung Chou Wong of Lawrence and the late Yok Sing Lee. She married Allan S.M. Wong in 1958 and moved to Waltham where they lived before moving to Newton two years ago.
Deborah worked for the Raytheon Company until her retirement. She enjoyed Line Dancing at the Newton Senior Center as well as gardening and cooking. She walked three miles a day and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughters, Brenda Wong Murphy and her husband, Brian, of Beverly, Linda Wong Kee and her husband, Kelly, of Newton, and Christina Wong Chin and her husband, Douglas, of Newton; her grandchildren, Kara and Zachary Murphy, Brandon, Kayla, and Connor Kee, and Brian Chin; her brothers, Ngar Hong Lee and Ngar Ching Lee both of Lawrence, Norman Lee of Wilmington and Raymond Lee of North Andover; her sisters, Kwan Sin Lim of California and Bick Mee Lee of Waltham and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Deborah’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Thursday morning when her funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
