Waltham – Mr. Denis J. Dubé, of Waltham, died on Friday, August 19th, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was 74.
Denis was born in Cambridge on February 11, 1942, a son of the late Ernest J. and Rose (Anastasia) Dubé. After graduating from Waltham Vocational High School he served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Before retirement Denis had worked at Raytheon and later as an offset printer at New Print in Waltham. In his spare time he enjoyed being out on the golf course and loved to follow the Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots and Bruins.
He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Choi) Dubé and is also survived by his children, Michael T. Dubé and his wife, Ann Marie, of Braintree and Alice A. Abbate and her husband, William, of Bradford; his sister Barbara Pottie of Bonita Springs, Florida; his grandchildren, Zachary and James Abbate and Madeline and Emily Dubé and also leaves two nieces and a nephew.
He was the brother of the late Thomas Dubé.
Family and friends will honor and remember Denis' life by gathering to visit on Monday, August 22nd, at 9:30 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
