Denna E. Bogle

Denna E. Bogle, 56, daughter of the late Athline Tulloch, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after an illness. 

Born and raised in East Kingston, Jamaica, Denna graduated from Camperdown High School and Alpha Business College where she made many lifelong friends both at school and in the surrounding neighborhoods. Loving and warm, making friends was something that came naturally to Denna. Along her journey, she continued to make lifelong friends while working at Shirlhome Chemical Corporation, Hilton Hotel and GlaxoSmithKline. 

Denna left her mark on everyone that met her; she gave of herself unconditionally and was passionate in her service to her community. An active member at Christ Church, Waltham, she often baked for the coffee hour after church and most recently was selected to be a member of the bishop’s selection committee. She never forgot her roots in Jamaica after she immigrated to the United States in 2008 and was instrumental in providing computers to underserved college students in Jamaica during the COVID-19 pandemic enabling the students to continue their studies remotely 

Denna easily saw the goodness in people and was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She loved music (I can still hear her singing in the kitchen), in particular ‘old soul’, baking (we will all miss her Christmas cake), nature walks (she went apple picking every year and viewed the fall foliage) and travelling (she loved learning about different cultures and trying different foods).  

In addition to her husband, Anthony, she leaves her daughter, Davina, step-sons, Andre, Alex and Aaron and too many close friends to count that were to her…family.  

Family and friends will honor and remember Denna's life by gathering for visitation on Saturday, June 15^th in Christ Church Episcopal, 750 Main Street, Waltham from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Her funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
