Waltham – Mrs. Dianna L. 'DeeDee' (Botting) Miles, of Waltham, died Sunday October 30, 2016 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital, she was 63.
DeeDee was born in Boston on December 1, 1952, the daughter of the late Richard and Barbara (Drinkwater) Botting. She was raised in Holbrook and graduated from Holbrook High School. She began her career working at South Shore Bank in Quincy before becoming a letter carrier in Sudbury for the United States Postal Service for over 28 years. She loved spending time with family and friends as well as traveling, especially on cruises to Canada, Alaska and the Caribbean. She also enjoyed candlepin bowling and following all of the New England sports teams.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Emile Miles of Waltham; her siblings, Deborah Guyla and her husband, Jeffrey, of Whitman, Richard Botting and his wife, Dawn, of Manchester, NH, Doreen O'Connor of Quincy, Gail LeClerc of Stoughton, Janet Burgess and her husband, Joseph, of Easton, William Botting and his wife, Toni, of Randolph and David Botting of Easton and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember DeeDee's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, November 2nd, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday morning when her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
