Ms. Dolores P. Moore of Waltham, died Saturday, October 17, 2015, in the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 73. Ms. Moore was born in Brookline on August 19, 1942, a daughter of the late Roger and Pauline (Demco) Moore.
Dolores was a housekeeper at The Waltham Hospital for thirty years until her retirement in 2001.She lived in the Francis Cabot Lowell Mill in Waltham for the past five years where she enjoyed her independence, and participating in many activities and groups. Dolores loved to chat with everyone, watch her Lawrence Welk shows, and knitting with her friends. Dolores had a heart of gold and a smile that lit up the room. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sister, Betty M. Fanadakis of Winthrop; her nephew, Nicholas Fanadakis and his wife, Yumi, her nieces, Stephanie Romero and her husband, Carlos, Nicole Capone and her husband, David, and Jennifer Kearns; and her dear friends, The Sparrow Family.
Family and friends will honor and remember Dolores' life by gathering for calling hours on Tuesday, October 20th, from 6 to 8 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday before leaving in procession to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
